Security Officer
As well as responding to incidents of disorder clinically related challenging behaviour such as: Confusion, Delirium, Dementia, and Post Operation - Anaesthetic Related Delirium, are some of the situations you may be required to support. Each case will challenge you to adapt your approach and ensure that the best possible support is provided to our patients.
All will require prompt and appropriate action in a courteous and helpful manner. Experience and an understanding of the healthcare environment, supporting patients and being customer focused is essential. You will help provide a professional security service, tailored to meet the needs of the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and will protect, advise, investigate and act within a legal framework to maintain a safe and crime free environment for patients, staff and visitors.
The security team work 24/7 365 days a year and so this role also has the potential to attract enhancements. Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week. Day and Night shifts, 12 hours in duration, following a rolling 4 week pattern. Interview Date: To be confirmed. Pay - The salary advertised for this position reflects the Agenda for Change 2024-5 rates, inclusive of a 5.5% pay award implemented from October 2024.If you join before this date, the pay award will be backdated to April 2024 or your start date, whichever is later. Until then, remuneration will be based on the 2023-4 pay bandings (Pay scales for 2023/24 | NHS Employers).
