SEN Teaching Assistant - Teaching Personnel
A highly reputable and award-winning SEN school group is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant / Support Worker to join its permanent staff in Portsmouth. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a team that provides outstanding education and care for children with special educational needs.
Role Responsibilities:
- Support students with a range of special educational needs in a classroom setting.
- Assist with learning activities, personal care, and behavioural support.
- Work closely with teachers and therapists to implement tailored learning plans.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for all pupils.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with SEN (preferred but not essential).
- A patient, compassionate, and proactive approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student well-being.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, Care Certificate) desirable but not mandatory.
