Rotational Clinical Pharmacist PROPEL Programme (B6 to B7 Progression)

As part of the PROPEL Programme (Plymouth Rotational Opportunity for Progression through Experience & Learning): To participate in defined and structured Band 6 core or Band 7 specialised rotations across a variety of settings within pharmacy and clinical specialities.
With learning outcomes and training and education opportunities linked to the Royal Pharmaceutical Society Frameworks. To undertake in fully funded further study appropriate to the role e.g. Diploma/Certificate in Clinical Pharmacy Practice and Non-Medical Prescribing.
To participate in the delivery of a high-quality clinical pharmacy service ensuring the safe, effective, and economical use of medicines for patients attending and admitted to University Hospitals Plymouth. To participate in ward based clinical pharmacy services to support the safe prescribing and administrations of medicines.
This may include activities drug history taking and medicines reconciliation, medicine supply, patient medication consultations, medicines optimisation services, discharge medication service (DMS) and any other activities associated with medicines management.
To provide expert advice on medications (supply & clinical issues) to clinical staff across the organisation. To provide teaching and clinical supervision of pharmacy staff (pharmacists, technicians & support staff) and other healthcare professionals across the organisation.
