Head of Communications (Infected Blood Compensation Authority)
The number one goal for the Infected Blood Compensation Authority (IBCA) is to pay compensation while building and maintaining trust with its users. Effective, open and transparent communications will play an important part in this.
These roles will help lead, shape, design and implement the communications strategy alongside building high performing teams. You will be working across MCOM disciplines such as media, digital, external and internal communications for this newly-forming public body, and expected to work with pace, impact and sensitivity.
We have two vacancies and are keen to hear from communications leaders that have expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Media relations
- Digital
- External affairs
- Community engagement
- Internal and strategic communication
Responsibilities
These two roles form part of the communication and engagement team senior leadership and, as group of 3 Grade 6's, are responsible for leading the full service of the communication, engagement and marketing function.
Each Head of Communication role will be responsible for:
- Setting the direction, standards and metrics to ensure we communicate clearly using insight, focused on our audiences and with clear purpose and outcomes;
- Building a high performing team, ensuring clear objectives and performance expectations for team members and providing the support needed to deliver;
- Business Partnering a Directorate within IBCA to provide expert communication advice, and ensure all priorities across IBCA are reflected in the communication forward look.
