ABOUT THE ROLE

The Finance Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting the Financial Controller and driving effective financial management across the business. This is a hands-on position that combines day-to-day financial operations with team leadership and strategic input.

Ideal for a recently qualified finance professional with 3 - 4 years of relevant experience who is ready to take on greater responsibility.

You will oversee core finance functions including bookkeeping, budgeting, reporting, and forecasting, while line managing two Finance Assistants. You’ll be expected to take initiative, implement and refine processes and bring clarity and structure to a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Your strong spreadsheet skills, knowledge of finance systems and ability to communicate clearly across all levels of the business will be key to your success.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is organised, reliable, and proactive - someone who thrives on ownership, enjoys building effective processes and is confident providing feedback up and down. Experience in media or service-based companies is a plus, as is any background in implementing financial tools or systems.

  • Lead on internal meetings and training sessions, fostering a positive and collaborative team atmosphere. Model best practices to inspire and guide team members.
  • Contribute to recruitment efforts, conducting interviews and managing onboarding processes to ensure new hires are smoothly integrated into the team.
  • Actively look out for your direct report’s mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing, providing support when needed, sharing company resources and escalating to the People Team when necessary.
