HGV Class 2 Driver

Statom Group Ltd. is a leading provider of civil engineering services, specializing in Remediation, Groundwork, and Structures. We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive HGV Class 2 vehicles to deliver and collect materials, equipment, and machinery from job sites.
• Perform daily vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and safety compliance.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, collections, and mileage.
• Adhere to all traffic regulations and company policies to ensure safe driving practices.
• Load and unload materials when necessary, ensuring proper handling and securing of items.
• Communicate effectively with site managers and coordinators regarding delivery schedules and site requirements.
• Report any vehicle defects or accidents to management immediately.

Requirements

Qualifications and Skills:

• Valid, clean HGV Class 2 license (Category C).
• Minimum 2 years experience
• Proven experience as an HGV driver, preferably within the construction or civil engineering sectors.
• Strong understanding of road safety regulations.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to follow schedules.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and the ability to conduct pre-journey checks.
• Strong communication skills and a cooperative attitude.
• Ability to handle physical demands of the role, including loading and unloading materials.
• CPC Certificate Driver Qualification Card (DQC) is preferred.
