Our LSCFT All age Learning Disability Team are looking for a new member to join our adult team!

The team is hoping to find an Occupational Therapist who is adaptable, highly motivated, with excellent communication skills and driven about working with people with learning disabilities and complex needs. The post holder will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, providing Occupational Therapy assessments, evidence based interventions and support individuals with learning disabilities and their families and carers.
The Occupational Therapy team works within locality teams across the Lancashire and South Cumbria area and team working with our MDTs is really important to us! The role includes agile and office based working and Lancashire and South Cumbria Foundation Trust offers flexible working opportunities to support staff well-being.
The Occupational Therapy provision will cover across Lancashire and South Cumbria.
To provide Occupational Therapy assessment and interventions with an aim to support, maintainand/or restore occupational functioning. As an Occupational Therapist, you will consider the wholeperson and the demands of her/his occupations in the areas of self-care, productivity and leisure.(adapted from Creek 2003). You will support individuals to engage in meaningful and purposefuloccupationsthrough activity analysis.
Main duties of the job
Assess the individuals occupational performance in their environment(s)
Support individuals and their families/carers to engage and participate in everyday activities.
Supporting engagement in activities of daily living, leisure activities and productivity.
Develop focused care plans, ensuring regular reviews to monitor progress and adapt individualised care plans as necessary.
To deliver evidenced based Occupational Therapy interventions.
To support delivery of workshops and therapeutic groups within the local communities
The post holder will work as a member of the Multi-disciplinary Team ensuring that high quality individualised care is delivered which ensures safety and a commitment to promoting wellbeing and maximising independence.
Contribute to multi-disciplinary formulations and advise on evidence based, interventions to promote the emotional health and wellbeing of individuals affected by changes to their mental health.
Coordinate treatment planning & interventions, reviews and case closure planning
Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.
