Specialty Doctor in Paediatrics & Neonates
Full Time 10 PAs (1 year fixed term)
We are looking for a dynamic Specialty Doctor to join our Paediatric and Neonatal team at Kingston Hospital.

You will be joining a team providing consultant led care in a busy DGH with a substantial NNU. The post enables the provision of consultant led care and supervision for junior and nursing staff 24 hours per day 7 days a week; providing excellent paediatric care in line with the London Quality Standards.

General paediatric and neonatal inpatient and OPD management.
Collaborative working with general paediatrics and neonates to meet the demands of the service.
To promote close working links with all providers of services for children, particularly within local primary care and the Southwest London Network
To manage a flexible approach to service provision, adapting practice and provision to meet changing needs
To work with consultant colleagues, other medical colleagues and junior doctors, professional and nursing colleagues and local managers to ensure the efficient and effective running of the service
Duties on middle grade rota with on-calls on Paediatric and neonatal level 2 unit.- Supervision of and support for junior trainees
- Collaborative working with all areas of paediatrics extending to ED.
- Outpatient work load and running rapid referral clinics and opportunity to develop on specialty interest.
To comply with the Trust’s clinical governance policy and participate in relevant multidisciplinary and clinical audit projects. The department is actively involved in both national and local level audit
To undertake the clinical risk management and clinical governance activities of the department and trust
