What skills and experience we're looking for

Alderman White School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and collaborative English teacher, who has a genuine love for the subject, to join our skilful and supportive English department.

Our English Department has a strong reputation for delivering high quality teaching and learning, which is achieved by working together as a team and staying up-to-date with the latest research and developments in teaching and learning. We are looking for an English specialist who is able to teach all abilities within the 11-16 age range.
You will have a passion for innovation and the skills to engage, inspire and motivate our students. Experience in teaching Media Studies is desirable but not essential. ECTs are welcome to apply and will benefit from high quality mentoring and support.

Our preferred start date is 22nd April 2025, however, a start date of September 2025 would also be considered.
