Job overview
We are delighted to offer a 12-month fixed-term post as a Teaching Fellow in Medical Education. This post is dedicated to developing expertise in undergraduate psychiatry education including teaching, curriculum design, organisation, quality evaluation and administration.
The post will be based at North London NHS Foundation Trust and will cover all the sites in the Trust within Barnet, Enfield Haringey and Camden and Islington.
The purpose of the post is to develop the Psychiatry teaching offer to UCL Year 5 Undergraduates. This may include, but not be limited to, the organisation and delivery of educational programmes, the development and evaluation of innovative educational programmes and materials and the development of assessments.
The post holder will have the opportunity to work with educational leads who can support their development as an educator during the placement and advise on opportunities for personal development.
Main duties of the job- To support the Undergraduate Psychiatry Lead and Psychiatry consultants in their education roles.
- To deliver teaching to Year 5 medical students during their 3-week ward placements as well as during their 3 weeks off ward
- To develop a range of educational materials: website content, interactive platforms, e-learning modules, written materials, or handbooks.
- To produce high-standard materials for written examinations and OSCE stations.
- To take part in medical school examinations.
- To work with the Medical Education Undergraduate Managers and admin team to understand and support the delivery of undergraduate education.
- To develop, document and support structures for the delivery of educational programmes and curriculum development.
- To evaluate and improve educational programmes.

- Evidence of post-graduate study in medical education
