My SME client is a fast growing owner-managed Marketing Agency based in modern offices in Central Manchester.
This creative B2B business has a great culture - fast paced, vibrant and with a strong emphasis on all working as "one team".
The dynamic and entrepreneurial MD/founder is looking for their first full-time Financial Controller.
Operating a key member of the cohesive Management Team, key responsibilities will include:
- Develop a small efficient Accounts function on a Xero platform.
- Manage/coach 2 Assistant Accountants.
- Develop internal controls to ensure timely and efficient financial transactions.
- Produce monthly management accounts with insightful business performance commentary.
- Develop annual budget and regular forecasts.
- Liaise closely with the Auditors to produce the annual statutory accounts.
- Cashflow management/control including main point of contact with the Bank to meet covenants.
- Also, close day to day contact with the Marketing team to support client tenders and accurate, timely billing of "live" project campaigns.
This is a tremendous role and great opportunity for a hands-on technically sound Finance professional (fully qualified & QBE candidates will both be considered on their personal merits) with solid all-round Accounts experience who enjoys and thrives on working in a busy SME business environment, in either Industry or Practice.
You must be able to demonstrate the energy and enthusiasm to "make your mark" in this fast-paced, fast growing SME.
