We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Religious Studies Teacher to join a vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Gosport. This full-time position is available to start as soon as possible and offers an exciting opportunity to inspire and engage students in the study of Religious Education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality Religious Studies lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
- Create an inclusive learning environment that supports students of all abilities.
- Develop and implement engaging schemes of work in line with the national curriculum.
- Assess, record, and report on students' progress and attainment.
- Support the personal, moral, and spiritual development of students through thought-provoking discussions and activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to promote cross-curricular initiatives and enrichment opportunities.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the subject and teaching methods to ensure lessons are stimulating and relevant.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- At least 6 months of UK-based teaching experience in a secondary school setting.
- Strong knowledge of the Religious Studies curriculum and a passion for the subject.
- Excellent classroom management skills, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students to think critically and develop their understanding of different religions, ethics, and philosophies.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
