Learning Support Assistant - Special Needs School in Bolton
We are proud to be working with an outstanding Special Needs School in Bolton, which is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join their team as a Learning Support Assistant. This role is ideal for someone with UK experience as a Support Worker or Teaching Assistant, particularly those who have worked with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
The position involves supporting students aged 3 to 19 with complex needs, including significant physical impairments, complex health conditions, learning disabilities, and Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC). You will work with students both one-to-one and in small groups, inside and outside of the classroom, providing tailored support and care, including assistance with personal care when required.- Minimum of six weeks' experience supporting young people in the UK, with references to confirm this.
- An Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
- Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks.
- A CV with a clear, up-to-date employment and education history, with explanations for any gaps.
