Quality Controller
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Quality Controller to join a well-established and growing manufacturer in the packaging industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented quality professional looking to make a real impact within a dynamic manufacturing operation.
Based within a fast-paced production environment, you'll play a vital role in ensuring products consistently meet customer expectations, regulatory requirements, and the highest quality standards. Working closely with production and management teams, you'll be at the heart of quality assurance, driving continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to enhance processes, and ensuring corrective actions are implemented effectively.

Quality Controller Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-process and final quality inspections to identify and address issues and ensure products meet customer expectations and quality standards
- Monitor production quality, checking dimensions, print quality, palletisation, and product consistency
- Review samples from current and previous shift production to ensure consistency and compliance
- Carry out regular factory floor inspections, monitoring production at various stages of manufacture
- Undertake final product evaluations through sampling and testing
- Identify, investigate, and escalate quality issues, carrying out root cause analysis and supporting corrective actions
- Maintain accurate quality documentation, inspection records, and audit trails
- Work closely with production teams to drive continuous improvement and maintain GMP, FSC, ISO, and other industry standards
Quality Controller Skills and Experience:
- Previous quality control experience within the packaging manufacturing industry is essential
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to spot defects and inconsistencies
- Good understanding of packaging materials, printing processes, and quality testing methods
- Confident using quality systems, Microsoft Excel, and producing accurate reports
- Strong communication skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
