The Social Work Learning Academy are looking for a Business Support Assistant to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of an expanding team supporting our social care and core support improvement workforce to be best that they can be and playing a key part in the continuing expansion and development of the Social Work Learning Academy.
You will be required to undertake general office duties, be responsible for inputting data, data cleansing, maintaining records, maintaining the IT system, supporting meetings, managing a central mailbox as well as providing support to the social work teams.A strong sense of teamwork and commitment to maintaining high standards is essential to this position.
Main duties of the job
All posts require suitable candidates who possess a good standard of literacy and numeracy, good communication and interpersonal skills, IT skills, including well developed data entry skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel, ability to multitask and prioritise own workload.
The Social Work Learning Academy is hosted within MPFT but is jointly run in partnership with Staffordshire County Council and is at the heart of the social care profession supporting the Adult Social Care, Safeguarding and Core Support & Improvement workforce across North and South Staffordshire with staff learning and development and providing an overall governance of all adult social care practice across the Trust and the Local Authority.

Qualifications & Training
Essential criteria- RSA III typewriting/ word processing or equivalent
- NVQ Level III in Business Administration or equivalent demonstrated experience.
- Formal IT qualification
Experience
Essential criteria- Previous, recent secretarial/administration/business support experience.
- Able to work within a team environment and contribute effectively to team development.
- Previous experience of office/ administrative systems
- Knowledge/ Experience of supporting social care business.
- Previous NHS Experience
