Birmingham - Household Support Agent Self-employed (No Personal Care)

We are looking for trustworthy, reliable, conscientious, caring and open-minded individuals with effective verbal, written and listening skills and computer literate to join our hardworking team of Household Support Agents (HSAs) as part of an as and when required bank of agents.

Agents cover Birmingham, Solihull and parts of the Sandwell area. Therefore, having regular access to a vehicle is desirable.

Tasks/duties include but not limited to:

Shopping for the household
Cleaning the home of the household
Senior Citizen sitting (One Offs, Regular Morning, Afternoon and/or Evening – nights as required)
Appointment Escort for routine appointments such as hospital, dentist, optician etc
Conducting clients’ initial and on-going home assessments as part of the HSA's continuous support

Attending online team meet-ups twice a month

As the work involves supporting vulnerable/non vulnerable people in their own home, following instructions and making informed decisions in a swift manner, this calls for self-management and thinking on your feet. You may also be working along with persons who have dual household responsibilities.

An enhanced DBS check is required, if not already on the DBS Gov Update Service. A First Aid At Work (FAW) certificate is also required.

The contract is on a self-employed basis and you’ll NOT be working for SCL Group. However, you’ll be assigned a worklist with a varied number of different households to support.
This type of contract is well suited for individuals looking to replace their former clients due to foreseen/unforeseen client circumstances or for those starting out as self-employed.

There is no smoking while carry out assignments.

The rate of pay is £14.00 ph. Any night work is at a flat rate per night.

The rate of pay is £21.00 ph for next day notice assignment(s) only.
