Operations Manager - East Sussex

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Oversee daily removal operations, ensuring efficiency and good service levels.
• Supervise and teach warehouse employees, moving crews, and subcontractors to ensure smooth transitions.
• To make the best use of available resources, plan and schedule tasks at least seven days ahead.
• Collaborate with the customer service, transportation, and sales departments to ensure proper relocation planning.
• Manage the hiring, training, and performance of warehousing and removals team members.
• Monitor compliance with health and safety requirements and evaluate operational hazards.
• Ensure that vehicles are properly maintained, and comply with regulations.
• Monitor and assess operational performance to find areas for improvement.
• Oversee toolboxes, supplies, clothes, and budgets to properly control expenses.
• Act as the principal point of contact for the removals staff and handle any operational issues.
• Create and execute process enhancements to increase operational efficiency.
• Maintain solid working connections with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to guarantee seamless operations.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven expertise in managing operations in the removals and relocation industry.
• Strong leadership qualities, including the capacity to improve performance and team management.
• Expertise in logistics, transportation planning, and staff scheduling.
• Proficiency with Moveware and other move management CRM systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, including the capacity to successfully solve operational challenges.
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders.
