London - Business Support Assistant with Work-Life Balance
We're looking for a UK-based Business Support Assistant to expand our team at Ukoru. You'll play a vital role in keeping operations running smoothly across HR, compliance, data security, and administration.

We're developing a platform supporting a scalable solution to:
- Employee feedback and growth
- Process creation to deliver results with minimal stress
Currently we're prototyping and iterating on designs with the help of existing customers.
Spidergap: a 360° Feedback platform — a tool to collect feedback about an employee from their peers, managers, and direct reports.AirManual: a tool for documenting and automating processes, working in teams, and reviewing the business health.

Key Responsibilities
HR & Employee Support:
- Coordinate the annual all-staff meet-up.
- Monitor employee happiness scores and prepare reports.
- Ensure team gifts are tracked and sent.
- Assist with 6-monthly 360 reviews for employees.
- Track and schedule annual HR check-ins.
- Maintain company profiles on platforms like Glassdoor and LinkedIn.
Data Security & Compliance Support:
- Complete quarterly data security reviews and update the weekly Data Security Dashboard.
- Assist in user access reviews and ensure security procedures are followed.
- Track and follow up on vendor security reviews and compliance updates.
- Support in renewing business insurance and updating internal records.
- Maintain records of business continuity, disaster recovery, and security tabletop exercises.
- Ensure data destruction and temporary file cleanups are completed.
Administrative & Operational Support, including:
- Update and share team dashboards for Engineering and Operations.
- Track and update bidding processes on Gartner and SoftwareSelect.
- Schedule and support De-Stress Your Business podcast episodes.
- Maintain and update quarterly meeting documents.
- Organize and update company policy records.
- Assist with vendor onboarding/offboarding and related documentation.
- Support in-person and virtual event organization and troubleshooting
- Assist leaders with ad-hoc tasks (e.g. research, bookings, preparing quotes, meeting follow-up)
- Provide cover for other Business Support team members when they are on leave.
- This is predominantly a fully remote job — you are responsible for having an effective work environment.
- You must be based in the UK, as there may be occasions where you will be required for support at UK-based events (typically 2-4 per year).
- This is a part-time role. We can agree with you how many hours per week, to suit your needs. We're looking for a minimum of 8 hours per week, and can offer up to 24 hours per week.
Benefits:
- Competitive salary. We calculate a competitive salary that represents the typical salary (50th percentile) for your role, experience and location. This is typically in the range of GBP £25,500 - £30,000.

- Annual all-staff meet-up. Previous locations: Iceland, Barcelona, Berlin, Athens, Budapest.
