Job Description

The Financial Accountant position based in Reading will involve the following tasks:

• Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Submission of journal entries
• VAT returns
• Ensuring compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
• Managing internal and external audits.
• Assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Providing financial analysis and guidance to management teams.
• Streamlining accounting processes and procedures.
• Coordinating with other departments to gather and analyse financial data.
• Participating in special projects as requested.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Financial Accountant should have:

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA).
• Proven experience in financial accounting within the business services sector.
• Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
