Sports Development Coach
The role involves delivering sports coaching sessions and creating opportunities for youth participation, including co-produced projects, volunteering, accredited training, and pathways to employment.
Key Responsibilities:
· Delivering high-quality sports coaching sessions, particularly in the evenings, while assisting in the coordination, monitoring, and evaluation of sports programmes.
· Developing new partnerships and programmes and support the development of new initiatives such as Tennis for All or All-Play Community Football.
· Creating and managing progressive sports programmes designed to engage young people and encourage ongoing participation.
· Support an accredited training programme that helps local residents qualify as sports coaches/leaders, preparing them for employment, leadership roles, work placements, and volunteering opportunities.
Requirements:
· A passion for sports, and a minimum Level 2 coaching qualification.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for programme administration and reporting.
· Proven experience in delivering youth sports projects.
· Commitment to improving opportunities for young people, especially in community and housing estate settings.
· A strong background in youth, sports, or community development.
