• Preparing financial statements and reporting are a large part of the Assistant Management Accountant's day-to-day work.
• Assisting with budget preparation and implementation.
• Conducting detailed risk analyses to assess potential investments.
• Analysing financial data and create monthly reports to capture cost trends.
• Collaborating with the finance team on yearly forecasting efforts.
• Managing month-end and year-end closing.
• Monitoring variances, identify trends, and recommend actions to management.
• Providing input into department's goal setting process.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Assistant Management Accountant should have:

• A degree in Accounting or related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a focus on Excel.
• Excellent understanding of accounting and financial management principles.
• Analytical mind with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail with the superb organisational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• An estimated salary range of £27,000 - £33,000.
