Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (BCHC) is looking for a Clinical Psychology Assistant Practitioner or clinical researcher from another discipline e.g. nursing or therapy with a psychology degree or research experience to contribute to the growth and development of research.The successful post holder will contribute towards the Trauma Aid study within the Learning Disability service. Research experience is desirable but not essential, however guidance will be provided by the study lead and clinical team. Activities will include supporting recruitment, updating the research database and liaising with clinical colleagues at partner sites across the UK.
The successful applicant will be required to support other sites across the West Midlands.
Main duties of the job
Main Duties- To undertake protocol based psychological assessments of clients applying psychological,
observations and semi-structured interviews with clients, family members and others
involved in the client’s care.
- To assist in the formulation and delivery of care plans involving the psychological
professional psychologist, in both community and in-patient/residential settings.
- To assist in the coordination and running of therapeutic groups.

- To work with other staff to assess inpatients, day patients or residents and review their

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
