Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will assist a Director and Senior Law Accountant with a caseload of primarily litigated insurance costs work Scottish work which will be a mix of RTA,EL/PL and Disease cases to include consideration of accounts, preparation of objections and negotiations with Third Party agents in addition to drafting Accounts for the recovery of expenses.
What will help you succeed in this role? :
Essential- Working in Costs Law of a minimum of 2 to 5 years' experience of cost cases in:
Road Traffic Accidents;
Employment Liability and Public Liability;
Industrial Disease;
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Accurate numeracy skills and the ability to work with data
- Ability to use initiative and problem solve situations as they arise
- Able to be flexible when working on several activities simultaneously
- Experience in assessing / negotiating accounts of expenses
- Experience in drafting accounts of expenses
- Experience in preparing points of objection / responses
