EYFS Teaching Assistant (Level 3)

Kirklees, WF17

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Level 3 qualified early years Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in WF17 area of Kirklees, you will be working specifically within the nursery class, your role is crucial in ensuring that children receive the support they need to thrive both academically and socially.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact on the development of young learners, providing support in a nurturing and stimulating environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children in the nursery setting, assisting them in their learning and development in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Help create a positive and stimulating environment that promotes learning, play, and development.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to children, ensuring their individual needs are met.
  • Encourage children to develop essential social skills, independence, and self-esteem.
  • Assist with observations and assessments of children's progress, helping to inform planning and next steps.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and other staff members to provide a cohesive and nurturing learning experience.
  • Support the care and wellbeing of children, ensuring a safe and caring environment.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.
  • A genuine passion for working with young children in an EYFS setting.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Experience working with young children (preferably in a nursery or school setting).
  • Knowledge of the EYFS framework and how to implement it effectively.
