Description
The Pest Control Officer WCR 2 position is essential for maintaining public health and safety through effective pest management strategies. In this role, you will be responsible for the identification, prevention, and control of pest infestations in residential, commercial, and public properties.The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of various pest species and their behaviors, along with the methods and materials used for their control. You will work closely with property owners, tenants, and community members to educate them on pest control measures and the importance of maintaining a pest-free environment.
This position requires not only technical knowledge but also excellent communication and customer service skills to ensure that all stakeholders are informed and engaged in pest management processes. As a Pest Control Officer, you will be tasked with inspecting premises, conducting risk assessments, and developing tailored pest management plans that adhere to local regulations and safety standards.

ResponsibilitiesConduct thorough inspections of residential, commercial, and public properties for signs of pest infestations.

Monitor pest populations and conduct regular follow-up inspections to gauge the effectiveness of control measures.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, treatments, and recommendations in compliance with regulatory standards.
Utilize various pest control methods, including chemical and non-chemical approaches, ensuring adherence to safety practices.
Collaborate with local health departments and other agencies to address widespread pest issues within the community.
RequirementsProven experience in pest control operations, preferably in a similar role.
Valid pest control certification or license as required by local regulations.
Strong knowledge of pest identification, biology, and control methods.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively educate and engage the community.
Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with safety protocols and the proper handling of pest control chemicals.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in identifying pest-related issues.
