The Pharmacy Department is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and hardworking individual to join our pharmacy team and stores team as a Priority Porter to ensure Medications are delivered to all areas of the hospital effectively and accurately.
Main duties of the job
Running urgent and critical inpatient and discharge medication around the hospital to all ward and clinic areas to help improve patient flow and to ensure patients are discharged in a timely manner.
This is a full time post for 37.5 hours per week to cover 7 days on rotation including bank holidays
Shift patterns include-
Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm, 10am-6:30pm and 11am-7:30pm
Saturday, Sundays and Bank Holidays 9am-5:30pm

Person specification
Qualifications
Desirable criteria- GCSE Grade C in Maths and English or equivalent
Experience
Essential criteria- Experience in a customer care environment or warehouse
- Experience in a hospital or pharmacy
Practical and intellectual ski
Essential criteria- Good all round communication skills
- Able to demonstrate good levels of accuracy in all work areas
- Able to work with PCs and other devices
Disposition
Essential criteria- Able to work effectively as part of a team
Training
Essential criteria- Prepared to attend those course which are deemed necessary by the Chief Pharmacist
Physical Make up
Essential criteria- Able to meet the requirements of the role. This job involves constant walking around site.
