About Our Client
Our client is a large organisation, well-established in the media industry. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Accountant to join their organisation based in Watford on a full time, permanent basis.
Job Description- Overseeing daily transactions (e.g. accounts payable/receivable, general ledger and bank reconciliations)
- Collaborating with the financial department and senior management to prepare budgets and financial reports
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings
- Implementing and maintaining financial policies and regulations
- Preparing financial statements and analysis
- Input Purchase Orders via a system
- Investigate any discrepancies
- Assist in audit paperwork
- Assist with payroll processing
The Successful Applicant
A successful 'Assistant Accountant' should have:
- A qualification in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software
- Exceptional time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Live locally to Watford
