We are looking for a Locum Consultant Radiologist to join a friendly and cohesive team of radiologists with diverse expertise in a busy department and a strong record in teaching, mentoring and training. The applicant would be expected to join the existing radiologists in providing a comprehensive cross-sectional and diagnostic radiology service for a fixed term of 12 months to cover an impending maternity leave & to help address current department shortages

Main duties of the job

This post is for a general Consultant Radiologist at Barts Health NHS Trust. A subspecialty interest is encouraged. The post will be primarily based at Whipps Cross University Hospital though cross-site working can be arranged.

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate excellent general radiology skills including US, CT, plain film reporting, fluoroscopy and MRI, as well as having a subspecialty interest , eg musculoskeletal & trauma radiology. Applicants should be GMC registered, with license to practise .

There will be an on-call commitment – currently 1:16 (with scans performed between 8:30pm – 8:30am outsourced).

Research and teaching activities are encouraged and supported by the active academic department and there is a highly successful training programme with registrars.

  • MB BS or equivalent
  • FRCR or equivalent

  • MRCP/MRCS
