Teacher of Science with Chemistry and Biology

Thetford Grammar School is proud of its history as a seat of learning stretching back over 1400 years. Today, we are a 3-19 day and boarding school that achieves excellent outcomes for pupils at every stage of their education.

We gain outstanding results at GCSE and A level as a product of bright, hard-working pupils, passionate and talented staff, small class sizes and close relationships between school and home.

We require from September 2025, or as soon as possible thereafter, a qualified Teacher of Science, with Chemistry and Biology for a full-time, permanent position. The ability and willingness to teach to GCSE will be essential with the possibility of A level teaching for the right candidate.

As an all-through day and boarding school, we offer many extra-curricular clubs and opportunities to our students and as such the successful applicant would be willing to participate in the wider activities of the school.

Applications from ECTs are as warmly welcomed as those with more experience; a comprehensive programme of training and support will be in place for the successful applicant.
