Overall Job purpose:
To produce and update (at least every six months) the Group Business Plan (£369m debt finance) which is key planning document for Board, regulators and funders.
Ensure accurate up to date accounting and reporting of financing subsidiary - CHC plc.
Manage day-to-day Treasury functions ensuring that all loans and investments remain compliant with the Group's Treasury Policy and contractual commitments. Maintain key operational relations with the Associations banks, bond funders and treasury advisors.Contribute to the update and monitoring of the Group's Treasury Management Strategy and Policy.
Core responsibilities:
Financial Planning- Manage the production and six-monthly (minimum) update of the 30 year Group Business Plan (circa £350m loan finance) and report to Boards and external stakeholders
- Carry out business plan updates in-year to assess the effects of new business opportunities, including assessment of investment in new Joint Venture companies (£11m currently invested) emerging risks and ability to increase capacity and assess likely impact of changes on both the RSH, S&P ratings Agency and other key stakeholders.

- Support the production of the Statutory Annual Accounts, leading on production of cash flow forecasts and going concern notes.
- Lead on the production and audit of CHC plc subsidiary statutory and management accounts and report to the subsidiary board ensuring the accounting requirements of all debt is fully understood and accurately reflected in the group accounts. Operational Treasury Management
- Monitoring of daily cash balances ensure funds are in place for requirements, effectively managing cash and loan payments and drawdowns; responding to ad hoc queries from lenders.
- Monitor and manage inter group lending in line with strategic policy and funders requirements.
- Effectively manage short-term cash balances within the RCF framework and in line with the Treasury Policy, ensuring best value and liquidity is maximised.
- Prepare regular short term cash-flow forecasts and any necessary loan roll over notices, effect authorised transfers of funds in the management of cash.
- Monitor and produce cash flow reporting, recommend cash management decisions and provide ongoing reporting on treasury reporting.
- Develop individual treasury expertise in support of long term development of the treasury function.
- Production of quarterly and annual returns for the Group's lenders to ensure covenant and loan compliance.
- Prepare quarterly treasury monitoring reports for Committee and Board and RSH quarterly and annual regulatory returns.
- Provide effective leadership to manage and motivate the Assistant Finance Business Partner to outperform against agreed objectives in line with policies and procedures.

Dimensions:
- This role is the key role enabling to demonstrate to its Board and key stakeholders that it has a viable, robust business plan which delivers value for money whilst maximising return on investments (£369m loan finance).
- Ensuring that Treasury planning delivers required long-term liquidity ( £300m debt finance) and achieves best value for money for investments (£50m cash investments).
- Accurate forecasting and responsive cash management will support optimal finance costs.
Understanding of and adherence to policy will help mitigate risk

Qualifications
