Full-Time Locum Occupational Therapist (3-Month Contract) - Salisbury

Are you an experienced and compassionate Occupational Therapist looking for an exciting opportunity to make a real difference? We are currently seeking a full-time locum Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic Reablement Team in Wiltshire for a 3-month contract.

As a member of our Reablement Team, you will play a pivotal role in helping individuals rebuild their confidence and enhance their daily living skills after hospitalisation. Your work will directly impact individuals’ ability to regain independence, improve their quality of life, and transition smoothly back into their communities.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assessing and supporting individuals post-hospitalisation to regain confidence in daily living activities
• Developing and implementing personalised reablement plans to promote recovery and independence
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care and rehabilitation
• Training and supporting team members, sharing expertise in occupational therapy practices
• Acting as an expert advisor on equipment provision, adaptations, and decision-making to enhance the independence of service users
• Providing professional guidance and support to both patients and staff

To succeed in this role, you will have:

• A recognised Occupational Therapy qualification and HCPC registration
• Extensive experience in adult community settings, with a particular focus on reablement or rehabilitation
• Strong skills in assessment, planning, and implementation of therapy interventions
• Excellent communication and team-working abilities
• Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload
• Passion for supporting individuals to live as independently as possible post-hospitalisation
