About Our Client
My client is a a start up snack manufacturing business who are part of an established group.
Job Description- Oversee daily operations across production to ensure smooth workflow and high efficiency.
- Full ownership of the snack and seasoning line from purchasing to production, to quality testing, as well as maintaining exceptional hygiene standards throughout the machinery and factory.
- Having a complete and exemplary knowledge of baking machinery and how all elements work together. To be the go-to person to resolve any problems with speed and accuracy, identifying potential problems before they arise.
- Pre-operational start up checks; including controlled documents, equipment check sheets, fabrication sheets, hygiene standards, and line labour management.
- Responsible for the attainment of production targets with the ability to motivate a team to obtain maximum productivity.
- Identifying any barriers that might prevent targets being hit and develop solutions to ensure performance targets are achieved.
- Working with the finance department in costing and commercial strategy.
- Building, training, and managing an operational team when demand requires.
- Keeping up to date and ensuring the business is compliant with relevant regulations.
- Assisting with additional ad hoc tasks as required.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Production Manager should have:
- Demonstrable experience in an operations management role, gained within the FMCG sector.
- Strong knowledge of food manufacturing equipment.
- Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and drive performance.
- Experience in managing budgets and financial oversight of operations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and experience with process improvement initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of working with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Results-oriented, with a focus on achieving operational efficiency and delivering high-quality products.
