Salary: £44,257 - £52,373Hours: 36 per week
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Business Growth and Inclusion team, working to implement and support change. There are two positions available, which will involve taking the lead on the specific project to develop and oversee the investment programmes under the Edinburgh Visitor Levy:
- Position 1: Culture, Heritage and Events, and Destination and Visitor Management
- Position 2: City Operations and Infrastructure
We are looking for individuals who have a passion for change, enjoy a fast-paced project management environment and want to be part of change and transformation, improving services for the people and businesses of Edinburgh, and our visitors.
The postholder will be responsible for all aspects of project management, with a clear focus on the successful development and delivery of investment programmes which will align to the Council’s vision, strategy and objectives. The post has a high degree of autonomy with substantial self- motivation required with minimal direction.The successful candidates will need to be confident in picking up projects, applying thought leadership and asking the correct questions to kick start the delivery of change and see it right through implementation, delivery and monitoring/oversight.
They will be able to think strategically and make connections so that implementation plans are realistic, achievable and measurable.
Based in the Place Directorate, the successful candidates will work closely with senior managers across the whole Council, as well as with external stakeholders. They must develop an excellent oversight of priorities and business across the organisation, and the city. We are looking for candidates with experience of:
- building robust business cases to support the need for, and viability of, change
- building and managing relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
- planning and organisation to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
- communicating well at all levels in writing and in person and being able to analyse and distil complex information for a variety of audiences
- managing and supporting change within programmes of work
- overseeing and monitoring delivery, reporting on successes and making recommendations for improvement.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
