ACCA Finance Analyst Apprenticeship
This apprenticeship programme, combines formal study with on-the-job learning and training, at the end of
which you may be offered a permanent position with Charles Stanley.
Theapprenticeship programme integrates eight modules of technical training with
work-based projects including the ACCA pathway - Business and Technology (BT), Management Accounting (MA) and Financial Accounting (FA). Your studies will be
fully funded by Charles Stanley, and you will be given one day per week tofocus upon your studies.
Throughout the programme you will have the supportof your line manager, Charles Stanley’s Learning & Development team, and a
dedicated mentor from your team.
As an Apprentice you will be provided with the
necessary training and support to enable you to carry out your duties. These
will likely include:
Assisting with theprocessing of invoices and remittances
Assisting with administrative
matters, providing input aimed at streamlining processes and improving
efficiency.
Arranging meetings: identifying
suitable dates, issuing invitations, booking venues, and assisting withthe distribution of relevant information.
Using your initiative to
handle issues in order to provide the team with effective support.
Liaising with teams in other
divisions / departments across the Company.
Acting
as a representative of and key point-of-contact within the team, supporting them with projects and/or workloads as required.
Training
Data is at the heart of accounting, and therefore data analysis can help accountants deliver more value to businesses. Accounting involves data from various sources and sometimes there aren’t dedicated resources to support working on the data, ready to be used by the accounting team.
The Data Technician apprenticeship programme integrates eight modules of technical training with work based projects. This ensures that learning and skills are directly applied to the apprentice’s role, and maximises the time used as part of off-the-job training.For each module, learners benefit from attending small, scheduled Live Online classes taught by a subject matter specialist.
The units include:
Microsoft Office Specialist: Excel Associate.
Data Literacy.
Bookkeeping.
Data Analysis and Visualisation with Excel.
Final Accounts Preparation (FAPR).
Databases and Data Modelling.
Data Challenge workshop.
Indirect Tax (IDRX).
Qualifications required
A minimum of 5 GCSEs (orequivalent) at grade C/4, including English and Maths.
Skills required
A good working knowledgeof MS Office, in particular Excel, Word and Outlook.
Prospects
The opportunity to obtaina professional Finance qualification.
Potential futureprogression within Charles Stanley.
