Role Overview:
As a Cover Supervisor, your primary responsibility will be to manage classrooms during short-term absences of teaching staff. You will ensure that students remain on task with pre-prepared exercises and maintain a constructive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise Pre-Set Work: Oversee students as they complete exercises set in accordance with school policy.
- Manage Classroom Behaviour: Ensure a positive and productive classroom atmosphere.
- Assist Students: Respond to any questions about processes and procedures.
- Handle Emergencies: Address any immediate issues or emergencies following the school’s policies.
- Collect and Return Work: Gather completed assignments and return them to the appropriate teacher.
- Report Back: Provide feedback on student behaviour and any issues that arise during the class.
