HSEQ Manager - Doncaster

The JobAn opportunity has become available with a specialist rail company to join their business as a HSEQ Manager This role will see you working from their location based in Doncaster reporting in directly to the group CEO The position is a key business appointment to drive positive culture through best practice with regard to health safety quality and environmental areas Key responsibilities include
  • Take responsibility for HSEQ policies strategy and procedures &ndash including implementation and regular review to ensure optimal efficiency
  • Assign targets that are in line with the goal of continuous improvement &ndash alongside appropriate action plans for these objectives to be achieved
  • Monitor and promote best working practices in all relevant areas of the group &ndash production of reports update of systems as well as providing mentorship to the wider network of employees
  • Partake in the drive for improvement and proper operation by attending sites evaluating facilities working with all relevant teams to reinforce work methods that adhere to regulatory compliance
  • Participate in events within the sector that represent the business acting as both a company representative externally and a role model internally
The ideal candidate
  • Relevant certification such as Nebosh and Iosh is to be expected in this role
  • Prior experience dealing with HSE systems and processes
  • Background from a role operating in the HS management of sites such as manufacturing and depot works is required
  • Excellent organisational skills &ndash in terms of planning time management and prioritising workloads and tasks
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal &ndash ability to interact with relevant parties both internally and externally
