Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Endoscopy unit for suitably qualified nurses to join our team. We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated individuals with an interest in working in this fast paced environment.
Although having experience of gastroenterology and knowledge of our services would be an advantage it is not essential as a full and comprehensive training package is available.
The Endoscopy service is provided across both The James Cook University Hospital (JCUH), Redcar Primary Care Hospital and Friarage Hospital (FHN) site, this post is primarily for James Cook Hospital and Redcar Primary Care Hospital, however we do on occasions provide cross site cover.
Main duties of the job
Applicants must be committed to providing a high standard of patient care, and also to their own personal development. The applicant must have excellent communication skills and be supportive and open to new initiatives.
Successful applicants would be expected to participate in the out of hours on call rota once deemed competent.

Qualifications
Essential criteria- Registered General Nurse
- Current NMC Registration
- Degree or Diploma in Nursing
- Recognisable teaching qualification
Experience
Essential criteria- Experience working within an acute or community setting
- Experience of Multi-disciplinary working
- Experience working within an Endoscopy/Outpatient setting
Knowledge and Skills
Essential criteria- Effective communication skills written and verbal
- Good information technology skills
Disclosure and Barring Checks (DBS)
