The admissions and discharge area is part of a complex dynamic perioperative suite managing a number of different specialities in major to minor reconstructive surgery.
Main duties of the job
Main duties are to offer a high standard of 1:1 care to our pre and post operative patients.
Surgical specialities include: Plastics, Maxillofacial, Ophthalmology, ENT, Burns, Hand Surgery and Trauma.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The post holder will work as part of a team to provide a safe, cost effective, efficient care environment for patients, relatives and carers.
They will participate in the training of junior staff and continue their own personal and professional development by rotating within the perioperative department.

Qualifications
Essential criteria- • Registered Nurse or Registered ODP
- Previous experience in Day surgery
Knowledge
Essential criteria- An understanding of peri operative patient care
- Demonstrates a patient centred approach
