Assist in the development and implementation of integration solutions, hosted within the Trust Integration Engine (TIE), done in association with relevant system suppliers and IM&T staff Manage and support the interfaces developed within the Trust Integration Engine (TIE) Ensuring all interfaces are protected by adopting Trust standard processes such as Change Management and appropriate security, backup and housekeeping procedures, with supporting documentation.
Provide first and second line technical support for TIE developed interfaces and where required escalate issues to system suppliers. Provide interfacing expertise and serve as a key liaison between system suppliers and Trust IM&T personnel, providing assistance in defining system integration requirements.
Support and enhance new and existing interfaces written in current and future standards including HL7, JSON, XML, ITK, FHIR, fixed and variable length formats and ODBC, CACHE databases and SQL. Assist in the preparation and execution of system user acceptance testing (UAT) plans in relation to interfacing / integration system testing.
Ensure any developments are fully tested to a standard where data integrity is maintained and in accordance with security and confidentiality standards. Participate in data quality initiatives to improve the data on information systems used within the Trust.
Work with other Trust teams in the development and maintenance of existing Information systems MAIN DUTIES The post holder will be required to interpret and communicate complex issues to non-IM&T staff and will be required to prepare and present information for meetings with suppliers.
The post holder will organise their own workload and will need to be responsive to variable workloads. Initiate, plan and modify work packages providing advice/guidance on system usage and configuration. This will include working with end users to configure the software to support the way in which they work.
This will involve the interpretation of complex information, analyses and specialist knowledge. Will undertake the testing and quality assurance for systems, or changes that need to be presented to the Change Advisory Board. They will ensure that the change is fit for purpose before being released to end users.
They will also review the documentation that is provided to enable the support of systems. To lead in internal user groups and participate in external user groups and other meetings leading workshops to facilitate future system developments. To be the main contact with the system provider.
To document Trust Data flows for all systems for which they have responsibility and ensure these are detailed in the Trust IG Toolkit. Although not an immediate requirement, it may be possible in future that the post holder will be a part of the out of hours on call rota.
Provide the requirement for planning the delivery of interfacing / integration for multifaceted IM&T projects. Plan and prioritise workload, making best use of available resources. Work with suppliers and relevant IM&T staff to ensure interfaces adheres to NHS data standards, and that any maintenance work is undertaken with limited disruption the Trust services.
Will need to be flexible to adjust work schedules to meet system implementation requirements and timeframes. Participate in creating appropriate supporting technical documentation with a general understanding of the business and user processes.
Maintain an awareness of changes in systems, and the impact on interfacing/integration. Participate in IM&T projects, in relation to interfacing and integration, alongside other IM&T staff. To be involved in the development of system backup and contingency planning.

To advise Clinical IT Systems and Operational Services manager of any operational issues.
