As a Staff Nurse in the Emergency Department, you will:

Main duties of the job
As a Staff Nurse working in the Emergency Department you will be a valued member of the team, providing high quality care to patients, in a professional, compassionate and competent manner. You will be able to contribute ideas and support clinical initiatives in order to provide evidence based patient care.
To assess basic and specialist care needs of patients and implement without direct supervision. Our nurses are expected to act in such a manner as to justify public trust and confidence to safeguard the interest of individual patients.

Education and Qualifications
Essential criteria- Registered nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
- Degree in Nursing
- Assessor/Supervisor training
- Emergency Nurse level one competency
- Post qualification course in relevant subject
Experience and Knowledge
Essential criteria- Currently working in an Acute Trust
- Recent/Current ED experience
Skills
Essential criteria- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Confident and calm attitude with the ability to work under pressure
- Demonstrates caring attitude towards patients and colleagues
- Extended skills relevant to role
