Teacher Of Geography
Hours: Part-time (approx 0.3-0.45 pro rata)
If you offer exciting ideas about the teaching of Geography this is an opportunity to play a key role in the teaching and further development of the subject at Northampton High School.
You will teach Geography up to and including A Level, enthusing and inspiring pupils, planning and teaching challenging, well-organised lessons, informed by your excellent subject knowledge.
You will also provide support with the creation of engaging schemes of work and the development of the vibrant extracurricular life of the school.
About You
You will have a strong understanding of the curriculum, a commitment to continuing professional development, and the ability to enthuse and inspire both pupils and colleagues.
You must be able to teach Geography to an excellent standard as the role will be timetabled to include significant Year 10 and Year 12 teaching; we are a mixed ability school and within the classroom need to set an appropriate level of challenge for those aiming for A*/9, whilst also ensuring students of a more modest ability (grade C/5 or below) are able to thrive.
