Provide reassurance and support to patients and carers/family. Provide information to enable the effectiveness of care to be evaluated and records maintained.Report any concern regarding patient care.Be able to locate all policies relating to good working practice within the clinical area and able to adhere to them.

Ensure appropriate information is available on the ward for patients and visitors in relation to health promotion. The post holder must maintain the confidentiality of information about patients, staff and health service businesses in accordance with Trust Confidentiality Policy and the Data Protection Act.
