London East Alternative Provision (LEAP) is an outstanding, highly-successful, high-achieving, inner-city school, delivering transformative education to young people of all ages from Primary through to Post-16.
Applications are invited from talented, hard-working and committed individuals for the post of Health & Social Care/Child Care Subject Lead at our school.
Our students need much more than excellent classroom practitioners with good subject knowledge: they need someone with experience of and a preference for working with hard to reach, often vulnerable children.
They need teachers who will care about their progress, practitioners who are able to support them with their personal development and wellbeing through education.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to the LEAP aims, values and ethos and a proven track record of delivering excellent outcomes for students, including those with often complex behavioural, SEMH and SEND needs.
We are looking for a dynamic and committed specialist with an in-depth understanding of all aspects of the Cambridge National Health and Social Care and Childcare curriculum.
The ideal candidate will have proven academic knowledge of as well as passion for both subjects and a talent for engaging students’ interest and involvement in their study, particularly as our students have experienced many challenges throughout their time in education.
