HGV Technician

JP Recruitment Solutions are pleased to be supporting a large national organisation, based in Carlisle, to recruit a permanent HGV Technician. Our client is looking for talented candidates that want to build a long-term career within a superb business.
This will be on a day shift (06:00-15:30) and back shift (13:00-22:30) rotating each week.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Ensure repairs are carried out according to the manufacturer's procedures and in a safe and responsible manner.
- Assist in the fault diagnosis process.
- Comply with warranty procedures during repairs and with warranty material on completion of a repair.
- Road test vehicle when required.
- Ensure that all vehicle defects are reported to your workshop controller.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience as a HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter.
- Level 3 Vehicle maintenance qualification, candidates with a Level 2 qualification will also be considered.
- Knowledge and experience in maintaining and fixing large vehicles is essential.
- Full UK Driving Licence - Class 1 or 2 licence is hugely beneficial.
