Amazon Web Services (AWS) is at the forefront of the cloud computing industry providing IT infrastructure services such as on-demand compute capacity, storage, content delivery, database services, artificial intelligence and machine learning, and more.

We are looking for a curious and capable Corporate Counsel to support the AWS sales and marketing teams across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting, negotiating and advising on strategic technology agreements with enterprise customers and partners through a variety of agreement types. The role will also involve ongoing legal counsel and regulatory interpretation and guidance for senior executives and other business and legal team members.

We are looking for candidates who are innovative, progressive, hands-on, and highly customer-obsessed professionals. Developing innovative solutions to better serve our customers and clients is part of our daily business.

This role will be based in London, UK. Some travel may be required.
  • Exceptional academic qualifications.
  • Significant post-qualification legal experience (with a minimum of 5+ years) at a leading international law firm, ideally with at least 4 years in private practice.
  • Excellent communication, drafting and negotiation skills.- Familiar with cloud computing, IT infrastructure and telecommunications.
  • In-house experience at a technology or internet company.
  • Significant technology transactional and regulatory experience.
  • High degree of independence, initiative, decisiveness and creative thinking, as well as a desire to be challenged.
  • Ability to prioritize in a fast-moving environment.
