European Legal Counsel
NCH Europe is looking for an enthusiastic, experienced, approachable and hard-working Legal Counsel to join our busy legal team in the UK. This is a one year fixed term contract to cover maternity leave.
This role will provide legal support to the European Legal Team, which provides legal advice, and support of a commercial nature to internal clients from across 23 European countries. We are flexible in who we will consider for the post, reflecting the unusual nature of the role.
As such, we are willing to consider applications from lawyers ranging from solicitors of 2 years PQE+ - ideally with experience in commercial and company secretarial matters, with a willingness and enthusiasm to cover additional issues. International cultural awareness, reflecting the broad and diverse international nature of your key internal clients.
Monitoring and complying with company filing deadlines across Europe
Review and advice in connection with contract clauses, payment terms etc
Thoroughness combined with a good technical ability
Efficiency in dealing with work and accuracy of work produced
Work with country managers to field legal questions and queries on a range of issues.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Previous international and commercial legal experience highly desirablePrevious legal experience of working in-house (desirable)
Legal knowledge (essential)
Knowledge of International legal processes/systems (desirable)
