People Group are looking to recruit a Assistant Project Manager from a Client Side background to work for a Train Operating Company
Responsibilities- Helping to administer contract elements related to the delivery of the infrastructure project ensuring adherence to the project programme and closely collaborating with the Project Manager- Administration of the delivery of construction documents produced by the appointed Design and Build contractor reviewing detail and ensuring a high quality of work
- Managing communication and change control between stakeholders including the client the contractor and the Depot user population
- Checking and ensuring robust implementation of the contractor s programme
- Preparing planning application documents including the environmental statement
- Promotion of an exemplary Health and Safety culture
- Experience working in the UK rail industry client side
- Understanding of Contracts and Contract Management specifically NEC4 Contract
- Experience in using recognised contract management techniques (e g CEMAR)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office particularly Excel Word and Outlook
- Familiarity with project management software and financial systems is advantageous
