The Undergraduate Education team is a diverse and close knit team who provide teaching for over 1000 students. The cohesion of the team enables us to seamlessly provide teaching for our students and be creative and innovative in the way we teach.

During the teaching fellowship you will be able to develop a comprehensive teaching portfolio. You will gain experience of small and large group teaching in both virtual and face-to-face settings. You will have the opportunity to develop teaching material, design assessments, take part in interviews for medical school, deliver courses and incorporate technology into your teaching.

You will also be expected to undertake an education related project, with a view to publication.

We will part-fund a PGCert level higher degree in medical education and time for fulfilling course-work assignments can be organised. If all 4 teaching fellows are keen to undertake higher degrees this may require all 4 to opt for online learning courses or blended learning (not courses requiring predominantly face-to- face tuition).

This is a post within Moorfields Eye Hospital and can be associated with a subspecialty department of the candidate’s choice within the Hospital. It will mainly involve sessions at City Road and St George's, but can include sessions at any of the Moorfields satellite units.
