About the Employer

My parents will be your employer so you will be guided and supervised by them. I am a wonderful, aware and inquisitive 5-year-old girl with additional needs and live with my family in Warwick. I currently attend main stream school. I am very affectionate and have a sunny disposition.
I have a rare genetic syndrome with a background of various health and medical issues including a gastronomy /peg tube. I am not orally fed, however I am encouraged to eat orally. I am on a blended diet and this is prepared in a blender with supplemented food and milk.
My feeding regime is to be fed three times a day with water flushes and my medication administered between feeds. I am shy and not fully verbal yet but can communicate with my family and I am trying to use my words and be more confident at school, with peers and family and friends.
I love being read and I am trying to read to and singing and dancing too. I have started to understand some very basic Makaton signs but need support with this and other speech and language input too. I love going to the park and with encouragement will have a go on the play equipment.

I am a kind beautiful little girl with heaps of potential just like any other 5 year old with the right love, support and belief.

About the Role
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Support and/or prompt with personal care. This may include toileting, showering/bathing, getting in and out of bed, getting dressed.
  • Support to get to and from school/work/college/social activities.
  • Assist and encourage socialisation, participating in activities.
  • Promote and encourage friendships and independence.
  • Develop a good and trusting one to one working relationship.

The individuals needs may vary from day to day and your tasks may reflect this. You could be required to perform other duties as reasonably required.

You have a responsibility as an employee to report all accidents to the employer immediately. You have a duty to report defects and / or hazards which may give rise to an accident. You are to ensure the safety of the individual at all times.

Due to the nature of the work for which you are applying, this post is subject to a satisfactory DBS disclosure (costs will be covered).

Transport Requirement

Car driver and car owner – must have business insurance.

  • Have a lively personality.

Part of the role is to occasionally support the family and my two siblings providing valuable respite. Tasks are to include: Cleaning Laundry Cooking Life administrative tasks

Required Training
Successful candidates are required to undertake any training that is considered necessary and appropriate to the role.
Moving and Handling. Training will be provided by the employer.

First Aid. Training will be provided by the employer.
