Are you a passionate and creative Design and Technology Teacher looking for a new opportunity? Our client secondary school in Bury is seeking an enthusiastic teacher to join their vibrant department, starting either ASAP or in September 2025.
About the Role:As a Design and Technology Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering innovative and engaging lessons across key stages 3 and 4. You will help students develop practical skills in design, engineering, and problem-solving, encouraging creativity and critical thinking.
You'll be part of a collaborative team committed to providing students with a stimulating and hands-on learning experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering high-quality lessons in Design and Technology to students in KS3 and KS4
- Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students
- Assessing and providing feedback on student progress, offering support for their development
- Fostering a positive, creative, and inclusive classroom environment
- Contributing to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and events
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Design and Technology or a related field
- Strong subject knowledge and passion for Design and Technology
- Experience teaching across KS3 and KS4 is desirable, though NQTs are encouraged to apply
- Ability to inspire and engage students, fostering a passion for creativity and innovation
- Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills
- A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment
